Aleksander NeustroevAleksander Neustroev
Born in Novosibirsk, Russia. Student of David Geringas. Between 1995 and 1999 professor at „Schleswig Holstein” music school in Germany. In 1997 the best Russian cello player at Mścisław Rostropowicz Competition in Paris. In 1998 he has won a prize at Pyotr Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

In 2001 he has won the first prize at “International Australian Adam Cello  Festival & Competition” in Christchurch (New Zealand) and a special prize for the best interpretation “Le Grand Tango” by Astor Piazzolla. Being a member of Nizioł Quartett, Czajkowski Piano Trio Zürich and Weber Duo Alexander Neustroev has played concerts at numerous European festivals. Together with Nizioł Quartett he has taken part in the recording of  quartets by the Swiss composer Paul Juon. In March 2002 he has performed as a soloist together with Zürich Tonhale Orchestra conducted by Lorin Maazel. The concert has been broadcasted by Swiss RDS 2 radio. In 2003 Alexander Neustroev has gone on tournée as a soloist with New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. He has made a lot of  CD records for television and radio (among others -  Double Concerto J. Brahms played with Bartłomiej Nizioł). He regularly gives lectures during master classes in Switzerland, Germany and Russia. Since 2007 he has made guest appearance as the first instrumentalist in Zürich Opernhaus. On December 18th 2009 Bartłomiej Nizioł, Xiaoming Wang, David Greenlees and Alexander Neustroev form Berlinsky Quartett. After the successful debut in Zürich the artists are planning a series of concerts in Poland Russia, England and China as well as recording the CD with The Beethoven Quartet and The Shostakovich Quartet.
